The Short Version

We're a no-cost go-between. You describe the roof, we forward that note to one independent roofer serving your corner of the Round Rock area, and the roofer contacts you. This site isn't a contractor of any kind. We don't send anyone up a ladder, price a job, draw up a contract or take part in an insurance claim.

Money moves in only one direction. A roofer may pay us for the introduction. You pay nothing to use the service and get nothing back for it, whether or not you hire the roofer.

What Happens After You Submit

  1. We read your note. The town and what you describe tell us which roofer works where you live.
  2. One roofer receives it. Your details go to that single business and nobody else.
  3. The roofer gets in touch. You settle on a time for them to look at the roof.
  4. You hear what they found. If work makes sense, ask for the estimate on paper with every line priced separately, and compare it with any other bids you gather.
  5. You choose. Hire them, get a second opinion or do nothing at all. Our role ended at step two.

Who the Roofers Are

They're independent local businesses, not our employees, and we don't stand behind their work. That makes your own checking worth the effort, especially since no Texas agency issues roofing licenses.

A few nearby cities do keep contractor records. The City of Round Rock registers contractors who apply for a building permit, without a fee. Georgetown, TX lists "Roofing Contractor" among the trades that must register, also free, and Cedar Park, TX asks every contractor to sign up at no charge. Hutto, TX wants registration finished before a permit application. You can call those offices to look up a name.

Wherever you live, ask for these before signing:

  • Proof of insurance. Liability coverage, plus workers' comp if the company has employees.
  • An itemized contract. It should list drip edge, which the City of Round Rock requires, and say who pulls any permit the job needs.
  • Warranties in writing. Get both the manufacturer and labor warranties on paper, and ask the roofer to register the manufacturer's.
  • A local address and references. Phone a couple of past customers.
  • Decking photos. Once the old roof is stripped, ask to see the wood underneath.

What We Won't Promise

  • Deductible deals. Under Texas law the homeowner pays the insurance deductible. We'll never hint at a way around it, and a roofer who offers to pay, waive or refund it is acting illegally.
  • Claim handling. We don't speak to adjusters or bargain with insurers on your behalf. A roofer can record damage and estimate the repair; settling the claim is for you and your insurer.
  • Roofing work or prices. We never inspect, quote, install or sign anything, and we can't predict what a roofer will charge.
  • Deadlines. Nobody here will push you about storm season. The timing is yours.
  • Official backing. No city, county or state office recommends or works with this site.
